Dental Fillings
A tooth filling is a dental treatment that repairs cavities, worn, or broken teeth. Fillings restore the structure and function of teeth, and can prevent pain, infection, and tooth loss.
During the procedure, your dentist removes decayed tooth tissue under numbing and fills the space with a filling material (e.g. composite resin or amalgam) or GIC (temporary filling). The filling is then hardened with a special light. Finally, your dentist will check that the filling is smooth and the bite feels normal.
